The Cairo pattern can be aligned with a grid of squares and equilateral triangles. The pentagons of Cairo pattern can be split in half, revealing a regular square pattern of the entire surface and also create pentagons between them. The final pattern includes a series of individual tiles, developed from three different piece templates which vary in level of complexity from one to the next.

The initial manufacturing process used a high-density foam and milling with a CNC router to create the molds. Once the priming and final sanding were completed, the tiles went to the sponsored Fiberglass factory for waxing and gel goat for final products used as molds.
